Coal tit

Today the sky was a brilliant blue and the sun was shining brightly, too bright in fact for taking photographs. However I did manage to catch this elusive little character who had been evading me quite successfully for most of the time.

  1. They look exactly like our Black-capped Chickadees, but are now in a different genus and species. How strange. Lovely close-up of this perky little bird.

  2. Hi Sue. Interestingly, only this week I have seen photos of the house sparrow in America and India and they look identical to the UK house sparrow. How strange is that? As far as I know that species does not migrate, or at least not these days. However I am no expert on birds, I just like them and enjoy taking photographs of them.
